What are Giclee Prints?
Giclees are extremely high quality prints which are expensive and time consuming to make. Even art experts sometimes have difficulty telling the difference between a Giclee Print, which lasts more than 100 years, and the original.

What are Limited Edition Giclée Prints?
In a Limited Edition offering, the artist offers a specific number of prints for sale, after which the negative is destroyed. As a result, Limited Edition prints are more valuable than unlimited print editions, and become more valuable over time. On each print, the artist writes the number of the print, the size of the edition, and his name.

Giclees on Canvas:
Prints of acrylic paintings are printed on high quality archival fine art canvas finished with a protective coating.

Certificate of Authenticity:
The artist provides a Certificate of Authenticity stating the number in the limited edition series.

Artist's Signature:
In addition to the artist's signature on the painting, the artist signs it on the the print and includes its number in the limited edition series before shipping.

Sizes:
The size of the Giclee Print is determined by the original painting or photograph.

Specifications:
I limit my editions to 250.
Purchase price varies depending on the giclee.
Unframed, unmatted. Shipping and handling is FREE.

Shipping and Insurance:
To ensure that this high quality Giclee Print arrives in good condition, I usually ship insured by UPS. The print is shipped unframed, unmatted and packed with protective packing either flat or in a mailing tube depending on the print.

Terms of Sale:
Payment in full by check made out to RB Backhaus or payment by PayPal (or the crredit cards they support) prior to printing and shipping.
New York Sales Tax (New York orders only will be charged a 7.25% sales tax).

After you receive the Giclee Print, if for any reason you are not happy with it, you may return it within 15 days at your expense (insured) for a full refund (less shipping costs) and a 15% restocking charge (to recoup my costs involved in processing the return). You must call or email rb at backhaus designs dot com first for a RAN (return authorization number) and the ship to address. The print must, of course, be in its original and undamaged condition.

Color of Print:
I make every effort to match the colors in the print to the original painting. I use a high quality printer for accuracy. However, this web site and your monitor may not accurately portray the colors in the original paintings. If there are differences, they are usually slight, and after you receive your high quality Giclee Print, they should not affect your enjoyment of the print.

Damage:
Because the Giclee Print is well protected, it is unlikely it will get damaged in transit. But if it is, you must report the damage to me and to UPS immediately in order to make an insurance claim. Keep the box and all the packing materials for UPS to examine.
